TESSANNE CONTINUES HOT 100 CHART ASSAULT

With Tessanne Chin eyeing a February/March release for her debut album, the singer continues to enjoy success on Bilboard's ever shuffling chart. The vocalist's cover of Whitney Houston's classic 'I Have Nothing' becomes her lastest Hot 100 charting song.

Meet me below for more...

'Nothing' is sitting pretty outside the top 50 at #51. A commendable feat for the singer considering its a cover not an original. Chin's other cover 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' peaked at #64 on the charts two weeks ago, however it has sailed off the charts.

A testament to the power that is iTunes. Indeed, while the singer watched her covers skyrocketed to top of the iTunes charts, its no surprise her ranking on the Hot 100 chart. Currently outselling releases from her idol Beyonce as well as 'TKO' singer Justin Timberlake. That's not all, her duet with Adam Levine 'Let It Be' resides at the #76 spot.

Over on the Digital Songs chart 'I Have Nothing' peaked at #12 in its first week on the chart, beating out the likes of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga's 'Roar' and 'Do What U Want' both at #13 and #14 respectively. 'Nothing' is also 9 spots above Beyonce's 'Drunk In Love' which resides at the #21 position. Her duet with Levine 'Let It Be' is at #24 on the top 25 chart.

Perhaps when Kelly Clarkson tweeted that Chin is gonna kick some major a** she wasn't lying. For with rankings likes these with unoriginal songs its clear Chin is gonna do some major damage once original material gets here next year. For all I know she could very well be The Voice biggest star.

Congrats!
