Jamaican based Romane Bougie is one of the newest Pop culture websites online. With an eye for fresh talent, Bougie is a local based blog that is known for its take on Pop culture news, music, reviews and much more.
History
Proprietor Romane officially launched Romane Bougie in November of 2013. While growing up as a kid and becoming acquainted with the proliferation of Entertainment websites and blogs, the 21 year-old Jamaican decided to start one of his own. With his undying love for Pop culture, Romane decided to share his thoughts and opinions on the 'bougiest' celebrities in all of entertainment.
With that in mind, he then came up with the idea to name the blog Romane Bougie; first part being his name, and 'bougie' which in urban pop culture means "high class, or someone who acts classy or rich and values designer brands." The word fits just right with the behaviors of some of these entertainers in the world of music, fashion and film.
About Romane
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Romane is the Creator and Editor at Romane Bougie. Born to both Jamaican parents, he is currently furthering his studies and will attend University to start his degree in Media and Communications.
