RIHANNA'S 'DIAMONDS WORLD TOUR' COMES TO AN END

After 96 shows across the globe and a 8 month long trek, Rihanna's record breaking 'Diamonds World Tour' has come to an end. The Pop icon performed at her last show in New Orleans, Louisiana before bidding farewell. It has been a long journey for the singer as we've watched her daily during the 9 months performing in sold out arenas and stadiums.

More after the jump...

On May 24th RiRi made history at the kickoff of Morocco's annual Mawazine Music Festival by performing for a crowd of 150,000; a new record in the country's capital. She also made history by becoming the youngest artist to ever headline a show at Paris' Stade de France, at the age of 25, stealing the distinction from Lady GaGa who performed at the stadium the year before at the age of 26. She also performed at Millennium Stadium and twice at the Twickenham Stadium on June 10, 2013 and June 15 & 16, 2013 and again became the youngest artist ever to sell out the stadiums.

Rihanna also performed to a crowd of 65,000 in Singapore during Singapore Grand Prix on September 22, 2013. It was one of the biggest concert crowds in recent history. Also, her shows in South Africa were a commercial success, she made history on October 13 when she became the youngest singer ever to sell out the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The trek has gotten raved reviews from critics all over and by the end of the show, the singer is expected to pull in over 150 million in sales, a testament to her widespread influence. Rihanna has proven once again that when compared to her contemporaries she's a cut above the rest. Arguably this generation's top act. The singer is now ranked #1 on Billboard's 'Hot Tour' tally selling over 1.2 million tickets.

Congratulations!
