In more than one ways one may look at it as a good marketing move. Yes I'm talking about the appearance by Usain Bolt at last night's live showing of The Voice. Currently on trip overseas performing promotional duties for Puma, the track sensation surprised many including fellow country woman and contestant Tessanne Chin.

When I saw that the track icon was chatting it up with host Carson Daly, I said to myself "Yes Tessanne you're going through to the top eight". Being the global brand that is Usain Bolt, using his "star power" alone should easily earn Tessanne a spot in the Top 8, as anything that is associated with Brand Bolt is a certified gold. People who didn't vote for Tessanne would now vote because she's associated with Usain Bolt and more so Brand Jamaica.
Not sure if it was calculated by Team Bolt as clearly we've seen how surprised Tessanne was after learning that he was there to lend her his support. It's great to see Usain giving her his support as he himself is a testament to hard work being paid off.
Randomness: Is it me or does it seem that Tessanne is paying homage to the singers she once did back up vocals for or opened for. In whichever way it works, and I just can't get enough of those powerful pipes.
More power to Tessanne!
