BRITNEY SPEARS' 'PERFUME' TOO WEAK FOR THE CHARTS

Are the masses sleeping on Britney Spears this time around?

Well the answer to that could very well be yes. Following the ill-fated 'Work B*tch' which failed to make its way up the charts, Pop's original princess unwrapped the follow up 'Perfume' -a ballad from her upcoming 8th studio set Britney Jean, but was it any better?

The deets after the jump...
'Perfume' was billed as Jean's second single and was hoped to do what its predecessor 'Work' never did, but according to the charts, the single is doing worse than 'Work'. The single is perched at #83 on the iTunes chart tally while its predecessor sits at #45.

It appears that the single has left a bad odor in the atmosphere of the casual listener for they aren't forking out their hard earn cash to buy that 'Perfume'. Problematic for the singer and her team as it seems the only persons that are buying her music are her legions of die hard fans.

It also looks as if the singer isn't putting in the work like she used to. With lackluster performances and so-so vocals it appears that everyone is tired of the same old tricks that the singer is known for. Here's hoping Britney and her camp do some damage control in time for the album's December 3 arrival.
