Katy Perry is currently winning the competition in the ever competitive game of Pop but Lady Gaga might rebound to claim 4th quarter.

According to the ever reliable Hits Daily Double, Mother Monster is set to score her second biggest debut with her Pop masterpiece 'ARTPOP' set to pull in a decent 375,000 copies in its first week. Thanks in part to her releasing snippets after snippets, Twitter meltdown and many important showings (iTunes Festival, GMA, X Factor) to push the project. At first it looked as if Gaga would lose the battle of fourth quarter as the underdog Katy turned out to be her biggest nightmare on the charts. Gaga herself underestimated Perry when she released 'Applause' on the very same day Perry released 'Roar', believing she would outsell Katy, well she learned the hard way after watching her single being outsold by Perry's 'Roar' which went on to claim the top spot on Billboard Hot 100, while 'Applause' peaked on #4 on that very same chart. It'll be interesting to see how the LP fares when it arrives on the 11th.
